Southwest Pueblo Pottery - Indigenous Appreciation of Clay with Josiah Concho, June 10th & 17th, 10am-3pm (Two Days)
My name is Josiah Concho. My pronouns are He/Him/His and I identify as an Indigenous artist from the State of New Mexico. I belong to two beautiful tribes in the Southwest, known as the Pueblo of Acoma and Navajo Nation. My goal for teaching this class is to share my tribal perspective and appreciation of clay and pottery. I believe sharing this perspective will give value to not only clay but to the natural environment all around us.
Workshop will be in-person hosted at Saltstone Ceramics in the Wallingford Neighborhood of Seattle, and will include a designated break during the class.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, but recommended for students 15 years and older. Materials and firing are included in the class fee.
Workshop registration is time/class-specific and is non-refundable. If giving as a gift, please provide the contact information for the recipient in the purchase form. At this time masks are optional for students and customers.
