Hand Building Serving Platters with Taylor Stefanski, August 6th, 1pm-4pm
Impress your next dinner party guests by creating your own handmade serving platter. In this workshop, local artist, Taylor Stefanski will guide you through the steps of hand building a serving platter. You will learn basic slab and coil building techniques to create a unique dish. This class is a great introduction to the many possibilities that hand building holds.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, but recommended for students 15 years and older. Materials and firing are included in the class fee.
This workshop will be in-person hosted at Saltstone Ceramics in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle.
T. Stefanski is Taylor Stefanski, a ceramic artist from Washington state. She has a background in printmaking and ceramic sculpture with a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. Inspired by the tender, unexpected beauty found in nature - reflected in her slow, hand building process. Outside of ceramics Taylor enjoys cooking, the smell of saltwater, taking long drives in rural areas with a really good playlist, and watching crime tv next to her cat Mimi and dog Mulder.
