Common Hawthorn wood. All items are finished with linseed and beeswax, gentle hand wash only. Milkpaint is foodsafe but avoid leaving it in corrosive liquids (boiling water, hot coffee, acid drinks) for long periods of time. ALL the wood for these spoons was grown on Vashon Island, Washington.
