Making Ceramic Bells with Laura Skiles Bundy, September 30th, 12-3pm
Looking for that perfect cottage core piece to add to your collection? Well, here you can make your own ceramic bell, perfect for your garden or windowsill.
Students will be guided by their instructor through the steps of creating a handbuilt bell. You will use different tools and construct slabs and texture tools to build these forms. These objects will function as unique pieces of art for home, garden or ritual. All finishing, hemp rope and bell knockers, are included and will be added to pieces after firing.
This workshop is appropriate for all levels of experience with clay and is open to students 15 and older.
The materials will be provided on-site. All firing services are included in the cost, and the studio will finish your pieces in a glaze.
This workshop will be in-person hosted at Saltstone Ceramics in the Wallingford Neighborhood of Seattle.
Laura Skiles-Bundy is an artist making her life and work in the beautiful PNW. Her ceramic work is hand-built from stoneware in her Shoreline home studio.
