Monoprinted Holiday Tumblers with Maria Ashkin, 12/02/23
Hosted December 2nd, 12-4pm
Want to make some colorful handmade gifts for the holidays? We return with a second round of our Monoprinting workshop, making colorful and detailed work on the surfaces of clay.
Local artist Maria Ashkin harnesses the power of underglaze to create vibrant, detailed designs on clay. Join this workshop to learn the steps of constructing a slab-built tumbler and creating a monoprint, a type of printmaking that yields one-of-a-kind results. This printmaking technique is particularly useful for ceramicists that are interested in the layering of surface design on ceramics.
Workshop will be in-person hosted at Saltstone Ceramics in the Wallingford Neighborhood of Seattle. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of experience with clay and is open to students 15 and older. The materials will be provided on-site. All firing services are included in the cost, and instructor will glaze your pieces in a clear for you.
Workshop registration is time/class-specific and is non-refundable. We no longer provide refunds for COVID-19. If you can't attend your workshop, we encourage you to give your spot to a friend.
