Elevate your ceramic creations with this hands-on 8-week class focused on color theory and surface decoration! Learn to mix mason stains with slip, create harmonious color themes, and master advanced decorative techniques. Each week offers demonstrations and activities designed to inspire your creativity and refine your skills.
This class is centered around strengthening these core skills:

Explore color theory basics and triaxial blending.

Transform colored slip into throwable clay and experiment with marbling.

Practice techniques like sgraffito, Mishima, slip trailing, and more.
Perfect for those with basic clay-handling skills, this workshop will leave you with new techniques, unique creations, and a deeper understanding of color in ceramics.
And the fine print:
- Our beautiful studio has just about everything you need, except for a simple set of pottery tools. Bring your own or purchase a simple kit from us on the first day of class.
- The first bag of clay is included in your class, after that each bag is sold separately.
- While we highly recommend that you attend all sessions in a series in order to get the most out of the class, we also understand that you may need to miss a class. If this is your first time at our studio, please make sure you are able to attend your first class date.
- This class is for students of all levels but is preferred for students who have taken at least 24 weeks of classes
