Expressive Hand-Built Vases with Laura Skiles-Bundy, June 25th, 12pm-3pm

Do you know the feeling that hits when you spot freshly poured cement? That sweet urge to make your mark is universal, and clay is our favorite material to satisfy it with!

In this one-day hand-building workshop, students will be guided through the steps of constructing a highly textured slab-built vase with expressive attachments. Let your inner maximalist out to play, and put it all on the pot. Or not! Laura will demonstrate how she uses her handmade texture tools, and share a variety of methods for creating your own.

This workshop is appropriate for all levels of experience with clay and is open to students 15 and older.

The materials will be provided on-site. All firing services are included in the cost, and the studio will finish your pieces in a glaze.

This workshop will be in-person hosted at Saltstone Ceramics in the Wallingford Neighborhood of Seattle.

Laura Skiles-Bundy is an artist making her life and work in the beautiful PNW. Her ceramic work is hand-built from stoneware in her Shoreline home studio.
