Making Ceramic Garden Sculptures with Sarah Steininger Leroux, May 27th & 28th, 11am-2pm
For many of us, our gardens or yards are an extension of our home and a favorite place to relax or entertain. Why not decorate your garden with art like you would inside your home?
Join Sarah Steininger Leroux to make a unique piece of outdoor art or sculptural bird-bath. We will use pinch and coil techniques to make one larger sculpture (around 12-16 inches) or an assemblage of smaller pieces that work together. This workshop will be two consecutive dates - the first day will be for building with wet clay and the second will be for smoothing and trimming or other finishing techniques. This workshop will use slightly more advanced hand-building techniques but can be adapted for beginners.
Workshop will be in-person hosted at Saltstone Ceramics in the Wallingford Neighborhood of Seattle.
This workshop is appropriate for all levels of experience with clay and is open to students 15 and older.
The materials will be provided on-site. All firing services are included in the cost, and instructor will glaze your pieces in a clear for you.
Workshop registration is time/class-specific and is non-refundable. We no longer provide refunds for COVID-19. If you can't attend your workshop, we encourage you to give your spot to a friend.
