I am a husband, father, artist, potter, etc… from Bountiful, Utah. I love to draw, throw and carve, and for as far back as I can remember, I have enjoyed creating what is floating around in my head. I was recently at an art festival when a friend looked at my booth and said “Man, your brain is busy,” and she was right. My approach changes depending on what is running through my mind that day, week, or month. While that approach changes, my imagery, style and techniques stay the same, and I love the diversity that allows me. My work is mostly wheel thrown, altered, distorted and hand carved, high fire cone 10 oxidation. I finish my work with a variety of glazes, including Amaco Velvet Underglazes and oxides, I use Kemper carving tools and Zebra carving tools, sanding pads, dremmel bits made by Diamondcore. I am lucky enough to collaborate with other artists once in awhile and throw my work in a wood kiln here or there. My imagery is based around nature - as seen in the Fibonacci sequence that frequents my pieces - animals, and the human form. I enjoy every step of the creative process, and pour myself into the hours it takes to complete a piece..
