Slipped and Illustrated Cups by Coco Spadoni Virtual Workshop (Dec 3rd), 6-8pm
Have you always wanted to make and decorate your own mug from scratch in the comfort of your own home? In this virtual workshop, you will learn basic hand-building techniques to make a cup, add a handle, and carve your own personalized illustration. Due to the drying time needed for clay your instructor will demonstrate how to hand carve intricate designs onto a cup by tracing and drafting out imagery prior. Depending on your intended drawing and clay consistency you may need time outside of the class to finish your piece.
This course is open to all skill levels. Previous experience in clay will be helpful, but is not necessary. This workshop is recommended for students 13 years and older.
This is a hand-built, (not a pottery wheel throwing) class. Workshop will be held on Zoom, and students are encouraged to follow along. Video will be sent a couple days after the class if you want to refer back to the content. Workshop registration is time/class specific and is non-refundable. If giving as a gift, please provide the contact information for the recipient in the purchase form.
