Teapots with Sarah Steininger Leroux: March 23 & 24, 1pm - 5pm
Teapots are one of the more complicated forms to make on a pottery wheel. Are you curious but a little intimidated by all the parts and steps? Join Sarah for this fun weekend (two day) wheel-throwing workshop where you’ll get step by step support throwing and assembling teapots! This is an intermediate pottery wheel workshop where students should be very comfortable centering and throwing at least 3 pounds of clay and able to confidently make both cylinders and bowls.
Because this is primarily a wheel-throwing workshop, there will not be a glazing portion to this class. For students who would like to glaze their finished pieces at the Saltstone Ceramics Studio, there will be an optional drop-in glazing session, date TBD.
This workshop is open to students 16 and up. All tools and materials will be provided. Saturday and Sunday, March 23rd and March 24th.
Workshop registration is time/class specific and is non-refundable. If giving as a gift, please provide the contact information for the recipient in the purchase form.
