Spring Beginner Wheel: Wednesday Evenings, 6:30pm-9:30pm, April 3rd - May 22nd
We offer weekly pottery classes at our studio in the Wallingford neighborhood in Seattle in eight-week blocks. Each class session is three hours long. During a typical eight week block you can expect to learn techniques to make basic forms on the potter's wheel like cups and bowls, trim or finish the bottoms, make and attach handles as well as different surface decoration and glaze techniques. You will end the block with a cool new skill and some pottery you made yourself! This class is designed for beginners, but everyone is welcome. While essential studio equipment is provided, you will need to purchase your own throwing tools and clay - more information will be provided prior to the start of class.
While we HIGHLY recommend that you attend all sessions in a series in order to get the most out of the class, we also understand that you may need to miss a class. There will be many opportunities to make up missed classes during open studio sessions. If this is your first time at our studio, please make sure you are able to attend your first class date.
This class is taught by Phi Nguyen.
