I love to work with clay. It can feel very primal with earth coated hands, thinking of ancestors using mud and fire to store and cook food, to become a civilization. And yet clay can be modern and fresh, with delicate flourishes, fun pop graphics and all of the brightest colors. My work is very eclectic as I fall in love with new styles and techniques, often changing with the seasons. My most recent obsessions are organic shapes in gritty speckled clay and carving porcelain to play with light and translucence.
