Free Wheel Throwing Classes

This is an ongoing series of classes for all who identify as BIPOC and or LGBTQIA+

This one night introductory class is a great opportunity for people to try the potter's wheel for the first time and see what all the excitement is all about. You'll get a taste of the pottery wheel while being in a space that is safe and encouraging to beginners.

Over the span of two hours, our friendly instructor will give you a demonstration of how to throw a cup or bowl and then let you give it a “whirl” (with a helping hand along the way of course)! You’ll learn how to center clay on the wheel, create an open form, and raise up the sides to a make beautiful piece with your own hands.

These classes are all hosted through a lottery system. Simply enter your info into the form below to join! There is no limit to how many classes people can attend.

Each student will get to keep one piece of their choice. We will do all the firing and glazing for you and notify you once they are ready for pick up (usually takes one month.)
