Collection: Hop and Jans Studio

Laura Hoppenjans (she/they), the artist behind Hop & Jans Studio, is an interdisciplinary artist and designer born in Kentucky and based in Seattle, WA. They received a BFA in fine art and art history from Indiana University, focusing on ceramics, printmaking, and photography. Laura likes to design and create ceramics pieces from porcelain and stoneware using a variety of methods - including handbuilding with coils and slabs, slipcasting, and throwing on the wheel - to create work that is fun and usable, while exploring patterns with relationships to traditional craft.
