Frank Jacques
You know what I love? I love clay and the idea that clay is all about sustenance. We need food and drink and each other and beauty and moments of transcendence and inspiration. Clay is this crazy-cool cosmopolitan material that sits at that intersection where all these needs converge, it sustains us, and that if you are paying attention it engages your heart and mind while you are moving your fingers. I also love that you can make both bricks and teacups with it.
Frank Jacques lives in a verdant patch of Seattle with an amazing graphic designer, a puppy and the cat that terrorizes him, and apparently a ton of raccoons. He has an undergraduate degree in Zoology, an MFA from that big school down the street, a rich clay history involving brilliant teachers and genius students and an ongoing fascination with the ceramic adventure.
