No Questions Asked Wheel Night, March 9th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Our Clay Curious session is a great opportunity for people to try the potter's wheel for the first time and see what all the excitement is all about while being in a space that is safe and encouraging to beginners.
In this two hour session, our friendly instructor will give you a demonstration of how to throw and then guide you through the process of trying it out for yourself. You’ll learn how to center clay on the wheel, create an open form, and raise up the sides to a make beautiful cup or bowl with your own hands.
Each student will get to keep one piece of their choice. We will do all the firing and glazing for you and notify you once they are ready for pick up (usually takes one month).
This class is designed for students age 18 and older and is especially welcoming to those from low-income communities. Discounted rates are available to ensure accessibility for everyone. If you do not need the discount, we kindly ask that you leave it for someone who does, so we can support as many people as possible.
Note that this is an evening class, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
