Your new favorite mug is a one-of-a-kind work of art, and we want to make sure it gets to you in one piece.
Our packaging starts with an info card from the artist, a layer of tissue and our eco-friendly alternative to bubble wrap. Then we add a layer of heavy-duty corrugated cardboard to keep everything tight and secure inside the box. The box itself needs to be bigger than you might think: 8" x 8" x 8" for most mugs, so there's lots of room for padding around your precious purchase. Then we crumple up the filler paper (brown paper is the cheapest, eco-friendliest filler we could find), seal it up, weigh it, label it, and send it out the door.
Phew! That's a lot of steps, and between wrapping up weird shapes and sending boxes down the street or across the country, shipping costs can vary widely. So to take the guesswork out of your shopping, we're proud to offer $10 flat-rate shipping on just about everything* we sell.
(Also: get a special coupon for free shipping on your first order when you sign up for our newsletter. Just type in your email at the bottom of this page.)
Even better: reduce everyone's costs (and get rid of all that extra packaging) and pick up your purchases in-store. We're also happy to do curbside delivery; just call the store at 206-632-0826 when you pull up during regular business hours.
This is going to be a wild and crazy season for shipping packages. Volumes are going to be even larger than usual, and the big shipping carriers are excited to start slapping holiday surge pricing on our shipments. So while we're giving you predictability in pricing, we can't say the same about shipping times.
We ship most packages within 2 days via USPS or UPS Ground. And we're shipping from Seattle, which means another 1 or 2 business days within the Pacific Northwest, or about a week to Florida and other strange lands. But again, this is going to be an unusual year, and so we recommend you add some extra time if you need a package for a special occasion.
So: get your orders in by December 15th if you'd like a shot at getting that special something to your special someone in Florida.
(*The exceptions: large items like big cutting boards, and international shipments.)
