Fishtank Furniture with Liz Leong, Feb 16th from 9am - 12pm
Build custom aquarium fixtures out of clay! With a few hand building techniques we can bring almost any shape to life. Clay is safe for aquatic life once fully fired.
Ideas for this workshop:
- Decoration
- Hides (Caves, tubes, etc)
- Feeding dishes
- Fixtures (Keep plants and substrate in place with custom pieces)
- Others?? The sky is the limit!
This workshop also includes an aquarium supply swap. If you're like Liz, you have LOTS of extra aquarium supplies sitting around. Bring it in to swap and share with your fellow fish lovers!
Liz is a co-owner of Saltstone Ceramics. She is an intuitive hand builder with a passion for aquariums. She is currently obsessed with her pair of Scarlet Badis.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, but recommended for students 15+.
This Workshop will be in-person hosted at Saltstone Ceramics in the Wallingford Neighborhood of Seattle. No prior clay experience needed as this workshop will cater to all skill levels. The materials will be provided on-site. All firing services are included in cost, and the studio will glaze your pieces in a clear for you.
