A porcelain, wheel thrown, ship mug. Fired at cone 7 oxidization with underglazes and oxides. H:4.5" W:4.25" L:5.25". This mug is inspired by traditional Japanese vases. A Kappa is a Yōkai that also means river boy, and I am always longing to return to childhood where things were more simple and fun. I hope I have captured some of the child like whimsy in this piece for you!
