I create whimsical ceramic art and functional decor inspired by Japanese folk art, specifically Kokeshi dolls. Kokeshi are simple wooden dolls from Japan, characterized by simple yet elegant designs. My art conveys themes rooted in my mixed-race heritage and the universal desire to form and keep relationships with others. I seek to create a feeling of well-being, connection, and belonging for those who interact with my work.
