Queer Night! Throwing On The Wheel! Sunday, January 26th, 6:30-9:30pm
Learn how to throw accompanied by other queer identifying people in our community! Our Clay Curious session is a great opportunity for people to try the potter's wheel for the first time and see what all the excitement is about while in a space that is safe and encouraging to beginners.
In this two-hour session, our instructor Tommy (They/Them) will give you a demonstration of how to throw and then guide you through the process of trying it out for yourself. You’ll learn how to center clay on the wheel, create an open form, and raise up the sides to a make beautiful cup or bowl with your own hands.
Each student will get to keep one piece of their choice. We will do all the firing and glazing for you and notify you once they are ready for pick up (usually takes one month).
This class is recommended for students age 14 and older, and for anyone who identifies as Queer/LGBTQIA
Note that this is an evening class, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
