Jennifer Nerad

Jennifer Nerad has been making objects since she can remember. She was born in Vermont and grew up in Wisconsin and Northwest Washington. Jennifer now lives and works in Bellingham after a spell in Seattle, where she explored painting, printmaking, and photography before discovering - and falling in love with - ceramics. Working in clay allows her to create functional objects that are also beautiful to look at and use. She's interested in the moods created by light, color, and texture in nature. Her work explores a quiet essentialness and is inspired by the human and natural landscape.
