Checked Vase by Liz Leong

This vase is a labor of love that spans the lifetime of Saltstone! Sarah Steininger Leroux, founder of Saltstone, threw this vase at the opening of Saltstone's 45th St. location. She gifted the bisqued vase to me when she cleaned out her studio, she doesn't do mid-fire anyways, and I glazed it. It's a long overdue collaboration that we've been wanting to do since I started taking classes in 2021!

It was fun playing with my checked flower pattern on a larger palette. I love how it turned out and hope it brings a splash of color and joy to its new home!
