Ash Chen (b. 1993, Dallas, TX) is a trans artist and educator born in Texas, and currently based in Brooklyn, NY. They are interested in the playful dialogue between the refined, unexpected, and things often overlooked or hiding in plain sight. A site of whimsical anthropomorphic forms that echo the body, their work utilizes organic and tripodic forms to create mementos and reflections of a hybrid world based both close to “home” and in uncertainty. Home as where safety is felt. Uncertainty as forever changing and forever forward.
