Collection: Capy Clay Ceramics

I am a potter, painter, and sculptor from the Philadelphia area. I have painted all my life and found myself taking my first ceramics class in 2024. I instantly fell in love with pottery and quickly began incorporating my painting techniques into my work, along with taking a particular interest in sculpting. I now pull my inspiration from the colorful animals and world around me - many of my pieces include sculptures of cute critters and the vibrant habitats they explore. I love creating functional pieces, especially mugs, so a little bit of whimsy and joy can be added to your day-to-day routines.

Capy Clay Ceramics is the company that I sell my work under. Capy, as in Capybara, was chosen for my love of wildlife and as an ode to my work in the animal care and education field. Additionally, capybaras tend to spend tons of time rolling around in mud, and these days I too find myself relating to that more than ever. Hence, the name Capy Clay Ceramics came to be.

Silly Goose is my first ever art exhibit and it could not feel more fitting! For these pieces, I imagined what silly activities the animals around us may be doing while we aren't looking and made them come to life with clay. Every piece was thrown on the potter's wheel, decorated with handbuilt sculptures, handpainted and finished with vibrant glazes. I hope this collection of pieces brings smiles and an appreciation for the whimsical lil critters that share the world with us!
