I started my clay journey as a highschool student who stumbled upon a ceramic class and couldn't stay away from it since. I received my BFA in ceramics and a minor in textiles from Kent State University in 2015. Immediately after graduating, I received a year-long artist residency spot at Core Clay in Cincinnati, OH. I decided to return to Cleveland, OH upon completing the residency to continue my craft there and see what I could create. I worked for a local potter for roughly 5 years and learned as much as I could from her and her practice. Since then, I have been in different studios around the Cleveland area in community with other clay artists. I was focusing on craft shows for the past couple years but have since shifted into working on smaller, more curated bodies of work for gallery shows. I'm excited to continue this craft and make time to try new techniques and learn skills from other skilled potters around me. There is a wealth of knowledge out in the world and I'm proud to contribute to the ever growing clay journey as the silly enby goose I am.
