Melted Porcelain
As a Native Hawaiian growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I am keenly aware of our need for light. I’m constantly exploring ways to subvert the excessively gray seasons by creating colorful jewelry that uplifts the spirit.
I am compelled to work with my hands; my current passion is making jewelry via the contemporary exploration of Nerikomi, hand building with colored clay. Radiant, hand-painted gold, silver, and/or mother of pearl details are added to each of my pieces to create a brilliant shine.
I want to create a point of light that you can take with you every day- a good luck charm, if you will. I hope my pieces make you feel unique, excited, proud… maybe even kinder to yourself and to others.
