Collection: Mud Monster Clayworks by Evie Chang

Evie's ceramics practice began in earnest during her freshman year of college, whens he would regularly neglect her studies in favor of playing with mud at the student-run recreational pottery studio minutes from her dorm. She began posting work for fun on instagram, which attracted a large following and eventually grew into a thriving ceramics business. Her work has been featured at multiple institutions across the United States, such as Companion Gallery, Charlie Cummings Gallery, Applied Contemporary, and more. 

In 2022, Evie stepped away from pursuing ceramics full time, citing a desire to return to making work for personal enjoyment. Although she no longer pursues ceramics full time, she still practices regularly and enjoys making work for shows, gifts, and occasional vending events. 

Outside of ceramics, Evie has a diverse body of work that spans cosplay, fashion, photography, modeling, and video games. When she is not creating art, she can often be found petting dogs, watching anime, or tending to her growing collection of carnivorous plants.
