Torie Crouse

Torie Crouse is a nonbinary/trans, self-taught ceramicist based in Grand Rapids, MI. They started their clay practice six years ago, currently they work and teach out of Sweda Studio in Grand Rapids. Torie loves to create unique detailed surfaces, pushing the boundaries of conventional pottery, to evoke feelings of visibility and safety. Their one-of-a-kind creations maintain a leading focus on self-expression and interconnectedness, displayed through Torie’s intensely detailed line work. Outside of the pottery studio, Torie continues their pursuit of connection by holding space as a massage therapist.
