Youth Group Events
We are happy to host your youth events for a fun pottery throwing or hand building experience! Lessons are two hours and cover all the basics of making, no experience needed. At the end of the lesson, each student will have made at least one piece which we will trim and glaze. We'll send an email when your creations are ready for pick-up, it usually takes a month!
Group size: 6-12 people.
Hand Building: Students can be anywhere from 7-19 years old. A Parent or Guardian must be present for the group.
Wheel Throwing: Students must be 14 years of age. If your group is smaller than 6 people, head over to our general Teen Wheel Lessons page.
Pricing: $100/person. A $300 deposit is required to make the reservation, the remaining balance will be due the day of the lesson. The deposit is fully refundable up to 72 hours in advance. Note, as of October 2025 we are required to charge sales tax on all classes.
Availability: See our availability calendar here. Let us know in the form below if you are interested in a time outside of the booking calendar, we would love to find a time that works!

FAQ
Food and Drink Rules
We are just a stop for your party, not the destination, so please keep party food out of the studio. Drinks are okay!
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing! When throwing on the wheel, you'll be seated on a low stool, knees apart, and leaned over the pottery wheel, so take that into consideration. High waisted pants or overalls are very popular choices.
Feel free to bring an apron if you'd like to use one, however our clay doesn't stain and will wash right out so don't fret. Aprons can be provided upon request.
Students also find it helpful to keep their nails short when working with clay.
What is parking like?
Parking at the studio is typically very easy. There is street parking out front along 45th, and the surrounding streets are all neighborhood parking with no time limit.
The parking on 45th is technically one hour parking, however I've only seen them ticket folks once in two years so park at your own risk.
Parking on Bagley Ave, 46th St, and Corliss Ave (the surrounding streets) are all not time restricted, and I personally haven't ever had to park more than one block away.
What will we make?
Our Gallery Representative can provide project options when scheduling a group events. We are flexible though if your team has a dream.
