All About Anatomy: 2 Week Intensive. December 3rd, 5th, 10th, and 12th, from 9:30am - 12:30pm

Looking to deepen your skills in a short but focused format? Join us this December for a 2 week, 4 session sculptural intensive designed for dedicated makers who want to learn more about human and animal sculptural techniques.

This accelerated course will meet twice a week for two weeks, with each class running 3 hours. Students should come prepared with prior clay experience. You’ll learn techniques for sculpting the anatomy of humans and animals, realistic textures like feathers, fur/hair, and scales, as well as how to approach stylization.

We’ll combine demos, hands-on practice, and plenty of room for experimentation to help you develop new skills and techniques. Whether you’re new to sculpture or looking to refine your craft, this class is designed to inspire and challenge you. By the end of this intensive, you’ll not only have a stronger sense of human and animal anatomy, but will come out with a few highly detailed sculptures in the end.

• While this class is geared towards students who've handbuilt before, everyone is welcome.
• Our beautiful studio has just about everything you need, except for a simple set of pottery tools. Bring your own or purchase a simple kit from us on the first day of class.
• The first bag of clay is included in your class, after that each bag is sold separately.
• While we highly recommend that you attend all sessions in a series in order to get the most out of the class.
• Open studio access during gallery hours.
