Making Sets: 4 Week Class: Monday Evenings, 6:30pm - 9:30pm, March 23rd - April 16th

Get ready to elevate your skills and leave with a beautifully crafted matching slab set!

In this 4 week class, your instructor will take students through shape exploration and enhanced building techniques. Students will come in with an idea in mind and our instructor will help them achieve their goals!

At the end of this intensive, students will have a set of beautiful and special matching plates, bowls, or whatever plan you bring to the class: as well as a strengthened understanding in planning and design.

Our friendly, experienced instructors create a supportive atmosphere that encourages exploration and skill-building at your own pace. Through the course you’ll learn these essential techniques: 

• Planning and designing a cohesive set
• Slab construction with templates
• Wheel throwing may be used during this course
• Refining forms & managing clay at different stages
• Surface finishing & glaze application

Students who are enrolled in our 4-week intensives also get access to the studio during designated Open Studio times: come in and practice!

At the end of this 4-week class, you’ll come away with a new-found appreciation for this ancient art form, confidence in your new skills... and your very own handmade pottery!

And the fine print: 

• While this class is geared towards beginners, everyone is welcome.
• Our beautiful studio has just about everything you need, except for a simple set of pottery tools. Bring your own or purchase one of pottery essentials sets available at the studio on your first day of class.
• One bag of clay is included as part of your tuition. Any clay after that, will be $20 per bag.
• While we highly recommend that you attend all sessions in a series in order to get the most out of the class, we also understand that you may need to miss a class. If this is your first time at our studio, please make sure you are able to attend your first class date.
