Stippled Slab Bud Vases with Jude Mortensen, June 8th, 12pm-3pm

April showers are for May flowers... Admire them in style by creating fun bud vases to get you flower-ready. So join us this June in making some stippled slab vases!

Your instructor and Saltstone's co-owner Jude will guide you through the techniques of basic slab-building and how to use templates to make your own unique bud vase. Once your form is finished, you will then be able to personalize your vases using underglazes and other unique surface decoration techniques.

Jude is a queer and nonbinary artist from southern California and has lived in Seattle for 5 years. They became co-owner of Saltstone ceramics in 2023 and has been teaching ceramics for the last 10 years in various studios across the pacific northwest. Their passion is teaching though working with spiky forms has to be a close second.

Suitable for all skill levels, but recommended for students 15 years and older. Materials and firing are included in the class fee.

Workshop registration is time/class-specific and is non-refundable. We no longer provide refunds for COVID-19. If you can't attend your workshop, we encourage you to give your spot to a friend.
